The multifunction Megger tester is specifically designed for testing low voltage and fixed wiring installations across domestic, industrial and commercial sites. These electrical testing tools can carry out all the measurements that are needed for completing electrical certification and can test across any installations according to BS7671.
The MFT1731 is the most advanced of the electrical testers from the Megger 18th edition providing type B RCD and 3-pole earth electrode testing. The electrical testing equipment is easily portable and rechargeable with the capability of storing measurement results that can be uploaded immediately using Bluetooth, or saved for later and transferred to a PC. When downloading results straight away there is a special on-site function that allows the cell on the highlighted circuit of the Megger tester to be populated automatically with the test result.
This latest series of installation testers from Megger provides rapid test results that can be easily repeated with two and three-wire non-trip loop testing capability. The multifunction electrical testers come in a convenient soft case with carrying handles and enough room for a second tester along with any required test leads or hand tools. The tester comes with optional accessories such as clamps and a sizeable LCD screen that produces a bright light making it easy to read measurement results. The display also shows dual variables for example test voltage and insulation resistance, fault current and loop resistance.
The Megger Tester MFT1731 includes:
- 3-pole ART electrode testing and stateless electrode testing options
- Confirmation of rotating machinery can be provided by phase rotation indication
- 3-phase RCD testing can be carried out in industrial installations that are not earthed
- Electrode resistance measurement allows for an array of earth testing
- Both Bluetooth® download ability and data storage within the device
Once all the tests of an electrical system installation have been run, the measurements can be inputted to the PowerSuite software that can generate the required certification. All results can be held on a PC or mobile devices such as laptops and notebooks which allows the user paperless accessibility to all records for each system installation and their client information. Having a portable device that is capable of bringing up earthing positions and detailed descriptions of circuits can be invaluable.
If you require a different option for storing your data, the MFT1731 electrical testing equipment is capable of holding up to 1000 test results that are kept within its own spacious internal memory. These measurements can then be downloaded in full into the PowerSuite software once the job is finished and when you wish to return to the office for generating a certificate.
