Used for crimping and splicing, this crimp tool has a unique copper sleeve that is fitted over the main tin-plated body for extra protection during use. It can crimp a range of PIDG terminals and is able to splice standard copper wires that are sized 20 to 18 AWG/mm². The tool has bright red insulated handles so they can be easily located, as well as providing a comfortable grip and reducing fatigue during use.
The pre-insulated design allows for a safe connection even in maximum conductivity applications. It distributes pressure evenly across the centre of the area being crimped and has a ratchet which ensures the crimping cycle is complete before the tool is released. This allows for more crimping and a better end result. A great crimping tool with additional splicing capabilities and suitable for many uses.
