RCD Railway Tool to Protect from Injury and Damage
This 16 amp RCD railway protection tool provides protection from electrical overloads and short circuits, offering peace of mind and a high level of safety in railway maintenance and inspection environments. Designed to detect faulty currents, the railway RCD unit works to prevent injury from electric shock, and also to protect railway devices from overloading, tripping and fires caused by electrical faults. The residual current device can detect even the smallest leakage current which can’t always be achieved with standard protective devices.
It constantly monitors the current which is supplying a rail circuit or piece of equipment. It can detect when an earth leakage occurs and automatically cuts off the power to prevent any injury or damage. The FDB11 RDC is housed in a hard-wearing steel enclosure and is designed for both commercial and light industrial railway applications. It has solid state electronic circuitry, a 16 amp rating and a 20mA tripping current.
