Flux AWS Meter, Gold - 0062/006670

The Flux AWS Meter, Gold (0062/006670) is specifically designed to check the strength and polarity of any British Automatic Warning System (AWS). The meter can track both electro and permanent indicators, making it a versatile tool for railway signalling inspections.

High-grade magnetic iron components are used in the construction of the moving iron mechanism. The movement is housed in an aluminium casing which is completed with a hammered paint finish. For this particular product, gold is used for standard strength inductors and our green version is for extra strength inductors.

The inductor strength is given by a pointer moving over a coloured scale as follows:

  • Green is used to indicated that the inductor is in good working order.
  • Yellow is for indicating that the inductor is below normal strength and requires attention.
  • Red shows that the indicator is in a dangerous condition.

Polarity is shown by the letters P and E which are used to indicate the current polarity of permanent inductors P and energised electro inductors E.

Each indicator is supplied in a leather carrying case to protect the instrument.
